Do you know how fun it is to have your picture taken? Putting on your favorite outfit, gettin all lookin good and shit and bOOM cameras flashing. I used to be a tucute. Even though I had dysphoria, I thought that you didn’t need it to be trans. I let the people on tumblr influence my thoughts and opinions. I identified as angender panromantic asexual that used they/xe pronouns. I would get into fights with people about my pronouns and arguments thar asexual was lgbt because “its not a choice”. After a while, I dropped the xe and traded it for just plain they/them. I was scared to use he/him pronouns. It seemed so wrong and bad to be a binary trans person. I fought tooth and nail with people that you didn’t need dysphoria to be trans. And then I read the DSM-5. I read countless articles on transsexualism and gender dysphoria and the link between them. I stopped ignoring the blantant and obvious facts. I traded they/them for he/him.

The reason I was scared of using he/him and announcing that I’m FtM? People like tucutes. They pushed so fucking hard that I was just nb because my gender dysphoria isn’t “that bad” and I was still comfortable wearing makeup. But here’s the real fucking tea on these people.

I joined an LGBT account, looking for some real advice. I told them that I was uncomfortable being called a girl, that my body gave me discomfort when I looked in the mirror, that I didn’t like being referred to as [birthname], but I was still okay with makeup and some traditionally feminine clothes. The response I got? “You’re probably a demiboy!!”

MOGAI bases all of their genders off of stereotypical masculine and feminine things. For a solid year and a half I didn’t come out as transsexual because the people in the tucute community would rather have me be a ‘demiboy’ then a trans man. When I came out fully to that MOGAI group they all went off on me about how I’m internalizing my transphobia and how I shouldn’t just comform to “cisnormativity” and how I’m just “giving cis people what they want”.

This is a true fucking experience I had with the MOGAI community. How is forcing a microlabel onto trans man helpful? How is coming up with label after label, based on nothing more than stereotypes not harmful? How is shamig me for coming out as trans at all positive?

More proof that Mogai is a toxic group.

Why they are called tu”cute” is beyond me because nothing is cute about lying and telling people to kill themselves.
